My Answer:
I don't have a landline phone; I only have a cellphone. If the cell rings while I'm reading a book, I would probably put the book down and check to see who is calling. If I don't recognize the number, I won't answer the call, and then I would return to reading the book. As for the doorbell, yes, I would put the book down and answer the door.

Luckily I don't have a doorbell! If you want to drop in unannounced, you will have to phone me... And then I'll just use your strategy. My husband is actually my biggest disturbance when I try to read!!!
ReplyDeleteSame! People generally don't just call to chat anymore either. If someone is calling me I know they feel the information is important enough to try and speak to me ASAP. Otherwise they'd just send a text.
ReplyDeleteI am the same way with my cell phone as well. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI'm the same way with the phone. I'm much more likely to ignore the door though, because all we get at our place are solicitors.
ReplyDeleteLuckily, few people call or visit me.
