My Answer:
If the book is well-written with intriguing characters, I would probably finish reading it.

I think I'd continue as well if it was engaging and interesting like you said. The only think I can't handle is if I feel like someone is preaching at me - regardless of whether I agree with them or not!

I agree with you. If the book as a well-developed and multi-layered plot and, I can usually finish. Then, there are those times when even that isn't enough.
