Billy's Answer!

Stephen King's It! I always tell people that I had read the novel, but I only read a few pages of it. The 1990 "It" television mini-series scared me to death when I was a kid. At the time I only watched part 1 as I was too scared to watch the part 2. Later, during my teenager years I did finish watching it. The book is being remade into two feature films, so maybe I'll be attempt to the read the novel again.

  1. I'm not surprised at all by your reaction to this book. I've only read ONE short story by King, and it TOTALLY TERRIFIED me!! I never read anything by him again! As a matter of fact, I stay away from the horror genre, in movies as well as books. I read paranormal romance and urban fantasy, which I find preferable.

Hope you have a GREAT weekend!! :)

    1. I have read almost every Stephen King title and "IT" is the only I've had a problem with.

    2. Gee, you must be a pretty strong person, emotionally speaking. I can't handle the horror genre AT ALL. But, there are genres for everyone. Horror is not my cup of tea, because I'm just TOO chicken!! Lol.

  2. I think Stephen King is going to be pretty popular for this Hop. My pick was Pet Cemetery.

  5. I haven't read King at all yet but I'm thinking about trying one of his shorter books soon. I have a feeling it will be daylight only reading! From the bits and pieces I have seen I think I agree with you on It. Terrifying!

    1. Most of his novels are long, though I believe Carrie is one of the shortest. Mr. King does have several anthologies with short stories and novellas in them.
