Since I'm currently single, I can't really answer this week's question. Though if I ever do get married, hopefully she will like to read books.

Yeah, I think it's a good idea to assess a potential mate's liking for books and reading, before the relationship gets very far. Although, as the saying goes, love is blind.....
ReplyDeleteIts' still possible to negotiate differing nerd passions with your spouse when you're married, but obviously, trying to find a more compatible companion would seem to be the most logical choice. So, single man, enjoy your literary freedom! When you wish to find a wife, just haunt bookstore author signings and other literary events. (Gee, hindsight is always 20-20, isn't it?)
Happy Friday!! : )
Single person here, too. Thanks for the tip. ;)
DeleteYou're very welcome!! : )
DeleteI would LOVE it if my husband did - but he doesn't :(
ReplyDeleteMakes things hard sometimes when I just want to blabber on for hours and 10 minutes into it you can see his eyes glassing over! lol
It's definitely good to be able to read together!
ReplyDeleteOpposites attract?
ReplyDeleteMy boyfriend does read though not too much, but the best part is he doesn't care how much I do read and obsess over books! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Billy,
ReplyDeleteMy hubby doesn't read but he doesn't mind my obsession. I usually just hang out with him and read. Have a great day!
Mine puts up with my obsession too. :)
DeleteMine only reads magazines and hunting pamphlets. No books to discuss. I am glad I have other folks to discuss my books with. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Hopping!!

My Blog Hop Answer
DH does like to read, but I am a rabid reader. :O) Thanks for hosting!
ReplyDeleteIt is rare to find a man into books. You more than likely find a woman how likes to read.
ReplyDeleteYou're more likely to find my husband reading a graphic novel these days, but he does enjoy reading. Mysteries and fantasy are his favorite. We share some of the same favorite authors. Although he's much more picky than I am.
ReplyDeleteBilly, I agree. If I was single I would want to make sure the person I was interested in read. My poor daughter who is dating once had a date ask her why she read so much or wanted to write YA books. Yep he was not given a 2nd date.
