I listed genre as my first deciding factor too! Have a wonderful weekend bookish community! ;)
ReplyDeleteOh me too! Genre and of course, book cover :)
ReplyDeleteOh Yeah on the book cover. :)
DeleteGenre is so important and is a huge deciding factor. Great answer.
ReplyDeleteI took a slightly different angle on this one. From those on my shelf, what do I decide to read next? For me, a big factor is how long I've been waiting to read it! But if I look at why it's on the shelf in the first place, a lot of them are recommendations from friends and book bloggers.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great take on the question. You should submit that for one of the week's questions. I like it.

The plot is definitely important to me. I didn't think about genre but I think that's mainly because I generally don't consider books if they're outside of genres I read unless they're highly recommended.
ReplyDeleteSame for me. It has to be in my genre of reading.
ReplyDeleteThe plot definitely is important.
ENJOY your weekend. The sun is finally out here and no snow. :)
Happy Hopping!!

ReplyDeleteI also look at the plot but I like to try new genres so that isn't a big factor in my decision. Thanks for hosting!
