My Answer:
I think I was more of a born bookworm, though my mother did read to me when I was little until I could officially read a book myself. My grandmother would have a new Berenstain Bears picture book every Sunday for me to read. I looked forward going to library (which was a fifteen minute drive to the next town) and checking out many books. When I started school, my mom bought lots of books from the Scholastic flyers, which I quickly read each one. My school's library was extremely small, so I quickly read every book there too.

My school library was small too and the librarian always suggested me which books to read.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely born a reader! Summer library reading programs? I was in for the win! :)
ReplyDeleteI was born this way! My whole family are big readers, so I think it's genetic. :) Great question!
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you very much for hosting the Hop -- very, very much appreciated!
I also had a grandparent to thank for encouraging my love of books! My answer to the blog hop.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately my school library was very small and didn't have fiction.
