My Answer:
No, I've never read a book with the last few pages missing. Though the last few pages of Petals on the Wind and If There Be Thorns by V.C. Andrews were missing. I already read the books from the library, but my late grandmother gave me her V.C. Andrews collection, which the two paperbacks were missing pages. I later replaced the books with paperbacks I bought at a thrift store, though I still kept the other two.

  1. I've actually had that happen a few times with digital copies and actually went to the extent to find a copy and a book store to see if the book was supposed to end or not.
The worst is when it happens with an ARC though...

  2. Yes, I have encountered some books with pages missing due to old age or mishandling.

  3. I don't think I could start a book that missed its end, it would just be weird! Unless I'd already read it, but even then! Thanks for hosting and sharing, hope you have a good weekend!

  4. Never happened to me. That would be awful.

Good you had previously read them. I love V. C. Andrews' books. Grandmothers are wonderful. :)

  6. I haven't read a book with missing pages. I love that your grandmother had VC Andrew books. I think my grandmother only had Bibles.

  7. I'm glad that hasn't happened to me. Though having a kindle, I have downloaded inexpensive self-pubs that were not edited for e-reader form properly and made the reading horrible. Only thing I could think of.

  8. I borrowed a book from the library and pages where missing here and there, not at the end, though. So annoying!
