My Answer:

I've used dozens of bookmarkers over the years. Some of them I have gotten free from the library, others I bought, and I have even made a few from the Sunday comic strips, but I typically end up losing them. Last year, I was about to checkout at a thrift store, but my eyes glanced at the odds & ends rack and I saw a a bookmarker (still in the plastic slip) of Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz. Not really my style, but I needed a new bookmarker, so I bought it and I've been using it ever since.
